Do home owners association records qualify as public records?

I want to petition my home owners association for minutes and other records. Can I use my state's constitution articles pertaining to freedom of information to make the request? Or is a non-profit home owners association not covered under the freedom of information act?

Any lawyers out there, please help.

Thank you.Do home owners association records qualify as public records?
Nope. Only right to the records will be specific to the CCR's, bylaws and state law specifics. Try the state Real Estate board that governs HOA/POA.

They SHOULD be available under full disclosure to every homeowner without need for a subpoena
