How can I look up public records for free. I mean completely free not where I am redirected to a pay for info?

I DO NOT want to be redirected to a page on the same site that requires me to pay.How can I look up public records for free. I mean completely free not where I am redirected to a pay for info?

Note that the site is only for West Virginia, only for some counties and only for some years, but it is free. Have fun!

What, you say, that isn't what you mean? Why didn't you say so, then?

Without a state/province/shire, what kind of records you want, and what time period, no one can give you a decent answer. Some states have some records for some counties; I used WV because my kin came from there. The UK has FreeBMD. India doesn't have much at all, so far as I can tell.

Second, use your head. If there was a Chef's school in town that gave away gourmet 3-course meals, served on fine china and snowy linen, how many restaurants would stay open, charging for meals?

Are you trying to trace your heritage totally free? Most likely you won't get far without running into some cost.

If you mean all kinds of free records, did you just try searching on free public records?
