Public Records?

Any site where I can search public records without having to pay?Public Records?
You didn't categorize the type of public records, so the answer can be quite broad.

To access public property and tax records, access the "county clerk's office" in the county you reside (several states in the northeast use a different term, I think). In Texas, many counties post free public records on the following: deeds, tax account delinquency, UCC records, marriage certificates, assumed names (for businesses), and more.

To access free tax appraisal records for real property and persons, access your county "tax appraisal district" website. Here are the links for Bexar County, Texas (San Antonio):

Finally, most cities and states have access to information concerning statutes, ordinances, traffic reports and transportation information. Just use Google. Hope this helps!
