awhile ago my friend showed me a website where you can search for people and see where they live as well as all of their criminal information (tickets, etc.). it was free but i cant remember what it was. are there any sites out there that do that? are they public records sites only by state?Where can i find free public records?
You can't see people's criminal history, outstanding warrants, and personal information. Those websites are scams. You can search for addresses and phone numbers on places like Y!'s people search. The rest of the information isn't public record.
